Charisma Y Atkins

DrPH, MPH, BS

Charisma Atkins, DrPH is a results-driven epidemiologist and scientific engagement leader with over 15 years of experience spanning large-scale epidemiological studies, outbreak investigations, clinical and real-world evidence generation, and domestic and global public health training. She has spent the majority of her career working across multiple divisions at the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), with additional experience in state and local government and direct clinical/scientific engagement with HCPs, KOLs, and academic medical centers. As a published author, she has advised and provided public health and clinical insights on major threats—including pandemic influenza, SARS, Ebola, hospital-acquired infections, and COVID-19.

Dr. Atkins brings deeper expertise in research design, outcomes research, real-world evidence generation, health economic evaluations and modeling, data synthesis, clinical trial support, capacity building, emergency response planning, culturally responsive communication, and cross-sector collaboration — bridging the bench, the clinic, and the community.

Most recently, Dr. Atkins has extended her epidemiologic expertise into direct clinical and scientific engagement — serving as a Health Advisor and Epidemiology Consultant who translates emerging data into non-promotional scientific exchange with physicians, nurses, researchers, and other healthcare professionals. In this role, she engages HCPs and key opinion leaders on lupus, chronic kidney disease, oncology, and other autoimmune and women's health conditions; supports clinical trial feasibility assessments at investigational sites; and helps shape scientifically accurate, regulatory-compliant education for both patients and providers. This work closes the loop of Bridged Impact's mission — carrying evidence not just into policy and program design, but into the exam room and the patient conversation.

Highly skilled in statistical analysis and in translating complex data into clear, actionable insights, Dr. Atkins helps organizations improve outcomes, expand impact, and make informed, evidence-based decisions that advance medical and public health insights
